Currency checkout enhancements

Travelex online checkout enables customers to order multiple types of currency, as well as their Travelex Money Card. Orders can be received by home delivery or click & collect. The product is also white-labelled, with Tesco, Sainsbury’s and ASDA, being some notable partners.

Objectives

This project aimed to enhance the Travelex checkout experience through three core enhancements: the integration of express payments (such as Apple Pay), the addition of address typeahead functionality, and improvements to input field accessibility and usability. Each enhancement was driven by user expectations and grounded in data-informed hypotheses to reduce friction and improve task efficiency, accessibility, and conversion.

My role

As Senior Product Designer, I led the end-to-end design execution - from early discovery to high-fidelity delivery. I shaped hypotheses with the product team, translated insights into solutions and accessible UI designs. These were then tested in both UAT and live environments, with the results influencing any assessed iterations.
